Reusing - Glass jars

As part of our inquiry this term we have been looking at how we can reuse materials to reduce the amount of rubbish that goes into landfill. All the Preps brought a glass jar to school and we decided to make a Christmas decoration using the jars.
We found this great activity on a wonderful blog Handprint and Footprint ART and were able to turn a plain glass jar into a very special reindeer candy cane treat holder.

  1. Hi Prep K,

We loved your Rudolph candy cane holders. We have thought of some more ideas to reuse glass jars.

Luca thinks we could use them to hold our textas. Abbey thinks we could paint them use them to hold special things. Anton says we could make a sculpture with them. Ella thinks we could use glass jars as a vase. Isaac would use a glass jar to hold precious things and Flynn thinks we could use them to hold a candle.

We hope you have a Merry Christmas Prep K.
