A visit from the Fire Fighters!

This week we were very lucky to have two visits from the Fire fighters. They taught us all about how to be safe in case of a fire.

The firefighters spoke to us about having smoke alarms in our houses and what to do if there is fire in the house you need to -  CRAWL DOWN LOW AND GO, GO, GO!

If your clothes catch fire you must –
STOP, DROP, COVER (your face) and ROLL.

In an emergency call 000

Preps - talk to your parents about all you learnt today. Talk about your safe meeting place and prepare your family fire escape plan.

Thank you to the The Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) Box Hill and their firefighters who do such wonderful work educating our students!

  1. Hi Prep K, Wow you made it to the end of term 2. Well done....you can all sleep in on Monday....please!!! I loved seeing the pictures with the fire fighters. How exciting getting to hold the hose while the water is coming out. Was the fire truck really big inside? Have a wonderful break and we will see you in term 3. Love Susan B
